We will try to get there at the latest by 1:30 pm (haven't decided for sure which day yet but probably the 26th) but probably earlier but I've got to give Grandma some leeway. I will be wearing my Chattan kilt, a harris tweed braemar (if its cool enough, if not a green waistcoat and a dress shirt) a harris tweed bucket/trilby/fedora hat, ghillie brogues purchased from member Norbo, and my "Rob Roy" sporran. Slainte!
Sounds wonderful, mate! Just a reminder, the games doesn't officially begin until 5pm on Friday, September 26, and then continues all day on Saturday, September 27 with the gates opening at 8:45am and the closing ceremonies at 6pm. The games is only scheduled for Friday and Saturday. So far the weather looks quite nice. A high of 79 degrees F, low humidity, sunny skies, and a slight breeze. So, I think you'll be able to get away with tweed. You can always remove your jacket if you become too warm.
