Hello Dram, can I ask how long the process took you with the Bureau of Heraldry in South Africa? The reason I ask it that I registered back in July 2014 with the Bureau and I'm still waiting for my initial preview of arms. Am I just unlucky or did yours take several months to complete???

Cheers for the PM Dram....encouraging! I shall just have to be patient with the Bureau of Heraldry. I'm hoping they'll incorporate aspects of my assumed arms into their design to keep my arms thematic. Here is my assumed arms- [IMG][/IMG]

My Pleasure. Nice arms! Of course SA will disallow the supporters, but I know you'll be happy with their guidance.

Hi Dram, my draft has come through today from the Bureau of Heraldry. I think it looks great :-)

Quite nice. Simple is best and this is a very identifiable coat because of that. I think you're well on your way. Is the crest a warbler or some type?

Your full heraldic achievement is great Dram. The bird I thought was a blue throated nightingale but its been suggested that a blue throat isn't a nightingale at all.....however to the best of my scant knowledge they are from the same family. (Swedish Nightingale )

Thank you, I paid an artist to create my ideas into a visual image.....I understand that Marcel Van Rossum has said he will look at transferring the supporters 'rampant' onto the shield perhaps holding up the Thistle proper. Although I would still like to keep at least one sackbut (ancient trombone) on the shield...
