Matty,
It was very nice to see you at the Moab Scots on the Rocks Festival. Yes, the weather was pretty good and the turn out was quite good. When I took my wife shopping in town, folks when stopping me and asking me why there were so many kilted men in the area. After explaining that there was a Scottish Festival south of town, a lot of them headed in that direction. I am planning on going to the next festival next year.
Yes, Moab and the surrounding area is an amazing place. If I had a dollar from every time I have been there I would be very rich. That's because
my father and grandfather and grandmother lived in this part of the world, starting in the 1940's. I still have an uncle that lives in Moab and he has shown me places where the tourist don't go.
Thanks for the pictures. The backgrounds of your pictures showing the mountains and red rock hills and cliffs tell a story that only I know. There isn't enough space here to do that but hopefully I would like to tell it to anyone that would like to listen.
BTW, I have been wearing my kilts in Moab since 2006.
