Very nice, Shine. I'd be proud to wear that one. It is what it is supposed to be so, I agree with Tarheel, it's not really drab.

OK, perhaps studs or tied downs for the tassels so they don't flap around and scare the stags away when you are hunting.

    Good job.

Nice job . I agree with others , it's cetainly not drab , the style and design speaks for itself .

I'm not sure that it needs any studs , the leatherwork can definitely stand on it's own . You might want to consider securing the tips of the leaflets with some simple brown or black stiching .

Other than that , well done .

Looks outstanding as is. I'd not do another thing except wear it with pride.

semi dress sporran.jpgHi Folks, Hope you all had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. I've been tinkering again with some ideas on semi-dress sporrans in the older style. This is what I have come up with, again most of the leather comes from old discarded briefcases. I'm having a friend fashion a silver cantle bar to go across the top of this arrangement. I know this won't be everyones taste ...but for those who like bling. This ones for you. I look forward to any comments or suggestions.newest creation.jpgIMG_4973.JPGIMG_4970.JPGIMG_4969.JPGIMG_4968.JPGsemi dress sporran.jpg

    Nice work

Glad you are recycling, Scots are known as being extremely resourceful, and recycling things for other purposes, it has got to be in the blood. Sgian dubhs and dirks made from broken swords. They invented haggis, and golf (recycled war clubs)
