I'm going to be a little bit pedantic. There is not a "Clan Swan" though there is a relatively recently invented Swan tartan. And "sept" associations are often rather recently made up by sellers of tartan/kilts to increase sales. Thus Swan could be associated with either MacQueen (which means "son of Sven") OR Gunn (because of descent from another Viking named Sven) but one can't be in both clans. Your right. Maybe they were just a large family at one point? I truly did not mean so say that a Swan are both Gunn and MacQueen together, I just meant to say that both claim Swan as a sept. Who knows!?! Your way is better, 'or' would have been better. There is and never has been a Clan Swan. My mistake.
