The "Likes" on their Facebook Page are accumulating. According to the FB algorithm, the more "likes" and/or comments a post receives, the more likely it is to be shown to more of their page "Fans."
I left a comment and a few likes during my recent visit there. https://www.facebook.com/bakerstokc

I posted in the reviews instead of the time line as reviews don't scroll away nor can they be hidden by them, they leave a permanent mark. They can reply to it, but I don't think Facebook will remove a review unless it is vulgar, abusive or totally inaccurate.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Here is the address of the company that owns Baker St. Pubs. They list the OKC Baker St as one of theirs. They might like to hear what people think of that pub. It appears that they have only 2 pubs in OK but many in Texas and Colorado.

I have just sent the following post to the headquarters. I shall advise when and or if I get a reply.
"Gentlemen, I would like to know if it is corporate policy to refuse entry to a gentleman smartly dressed in a Scottish kilt as has been done by your Oklahoma City pub recently."

Too bad!
I was wondering how such a place, common enough here in California but something of an oddity in West Virginia, would fare.
Well I'm glad my sister and I went there last May. I had some decent local West Virginia IPA (something I was surprised even existed) and excellent curry fries.
Barboursville was a bit of an odd location. Right in the middle of a college town like Huntington or Morgantown and the place might have succeeded.
I'm going back to WV in a couple months and I'll see if I can find any interesting pub anywhere.

This just here via Facebook:
Baker St. Pub & Grill - Oklahoma City:
Hi Rev'D Bill White, we deeply apologize for the incident that occurred to your friend. It is NOT our company policy to not allow Kilts in our establishment, we actually encourage our staff and management to wear them if they chose to. We want to reassure you that we have addressed the issue with all of our staff and educated them on our policies as a company. We have the hopes of contacting your friend and offering him an apology and offer him the night out he was looking for when he visited us. Like · Reply · 2 mins
Rev'd Bill White:
Thank you. It seemed inestimably strange and to further attach a Scottish garment to an Irish festival was indicative of serious re-education.
Yay! XMarks scores a touchdown!
Now, somebody needs to organize a kilt night and descend on them en masse!

Thank you to all that have posted on their FB site, and also those that have written directly.......it is good we had a focused effort to educate and correct this incident. It was my hope that by posting the link on FB and a call to arms ( or kilts in this case ), in a positive manner we could do some good.
The moral of the story is.....be proud and kilt on in a positive manner.....

It appears they actually responded to all who left a comment. I received a "couple" of notifications today from FB. In addition from a personal page comment, I left a comment from one of our business pages - with nearly 7,000 fans. They addressed that separately.
Yes, it was nice to see that some education has been spread because of the concerted efforts of The Rabble. I hope no one else need be turned away for wearing a kilt - or any other national or regional attire.
