There is the problem of, should I because it is legal to do so. Mississippi has an open carry of firearms law but I don't always "tote a hog leg".
Look to the environment where you think you would want the blade as an accessory. The first issue, from the public's perspective, who is this person and why is he dressed so differently. You can overwhelm them with "too much, too soon" as far as attire, when an explanation will suffice for now.
