My wife was complicit in my buying a kilt. When I got it on the reality was a shock for her, especially when I wore it with no apparent special occasion in view. But she got used to it, and now likes me wearing it. Marriage takes daily work. In our case, 40 years of it.

Try wearing it to school. When I was a junior and senior I wore mine once a week. The girls love it, though you may find yourself in a brawl or two.
