I wonder are they fire proof, I can't imagine them being of any use for fire fighting.

None of the three variaties are fireproof. Heck, bunker gear isn't fire proof, just flame resistant. It's the insulation that makes the difference.

As far as useful for firefighting, I can tell you from experience that wearing a kilt under bunkers is a terrible idea.
