Anyone wanna play guess that Tartan?
I dub them the tartan rugs of Clan Amalgamate. NOTE: the uneven lay of the hook rug is for hiding things swept under it.

That's pretty neat... The cool factor in a rug like that is knowing, yourself, what went into it; at first glance, you wouldn't guess how much money and time went into making and collecting those scraps!
Kind've like recycling spent rock climbing ropes into rugs...

Hipbilly, your rock rope rugs would be harder on the feet. But, that would be something to see.

I haven't any photos because I've given them away, but I make hair scruchies (elastic ponytail holder) for my nieces from my tartan scraps.
Here's an idea: Collect enough scraps for some project and sell them to DIYers

Oh, how lovely! Weaving is definitely not my deal, but I may someday be able to contribute to another rug for you. I can't bear to throw away the scraps from the kilt construction. What a wonderful use of lovely material. Great thinking!
