It came with flashes I normally use garter ties but could not find my yellow set.

Again what a fine looking kilt!!! Fine without flashes, just an observation... My wife's Aberdeedshire Grandfather would agree with your black shoes, but my Saskatchewan roots would dictate brown. Great Toronto 'country gentleman' look.
