Thank you Mr. Ashton. I enjoyed quite the laugh on your "dirtiness" .. I mean behalf.
I too don't take so much offence to the blurts of personal opinion as other's bdkilted, but sometimes I love a good theological debate.
I gratefully accept Father Bill's offer of absolution, but only if no soap is required.

ROFLOL. I grew up listening to this sort of rubbish. I was scared to death when I was a kid. At some point you have to realize that nobody is going to heaven except the authors of pamphlets (now websites), missionaries and a couple of preachers.
Now I'm Eastern Orthodox. When I look at the hundreds of icons in our church, not a single one of those saints wore trousers. NOT. ONE. In this guy's "heaven," there's no drink, no dancing, little music and men wear pants. I think I'll stick to Orthodox heaven where there's vodka and whiskey, music and dancing, and no man is left to suffer in trousers.

One might find it disgusting to wear kilts...ok. Why not. Everybody has the right to celebrate bad taste (meaning NOT wearing it ;-).
But I really get sick of these IT IS SINFUL people. Everything they don't want or understand is sinful... Read the book!
BUT Jesus wasn't lucky enough to see one otherwise I am sure he would have worn it...His garment was just a bit too long.
And he would have loked great in it I am sure...maybe divine!

AND: Don't take my post to serious...
and the almighty and merciful god may bless us all and all others too!!!

I love reading this every time it pops up. Unfortunately, as protestant clergy I can't absolve anyone. I can however ease the all the minds that I am sure were just filled to the max with worries
Jesus wore un-bifurcated garments too.
Keep your rings charged, pleats in the back, and stay geeky!

While I was curiously trying to look up more information on that "would Jesus wear a kilt" book, I happened across this page, where someone has published a sort of rebuttal to the topic of the original link.

This has probably been seen or shared already, but it was a polite pat on the back for kilt wearers.
