There is a quote which, if you have not heard, deserves to be mentioned.
"A veteran is one who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'"
To all those who have raised your hand, and signed that blank check, I salute you. I remember and honor you. And I thank you.
