I am quite sure should I see you, Greg, wandering around town wearing the kilt that I will not single you out for making an exception to how I think.

I hope, my thoughts do not show though! But, should you care to ask me face to face the question that was asked here, my reply will be much the same as the one I gave here. It would be dishonest to do otherwise.

Mrs. Jock, I do appreciate your honesty, and I feel assured that you shouldn’t show your disapproval should I meet you, be it in Scotland, Copenhagen or where else. Both you and I are too well mannered people to reveal our thoughts, I’m convinced.

I might better add that I on my part should never ask anybody, how they like me in a kilt or without. So in fact we could pass by each other without too much fuss.

A nice day to you and your husband!

By the way, should you and Mr. Jock ever plan a trip to Denmark and could I be of any help, feel free to send me a pm.

Now that we have a ladies wear forum section would anyone mind if I move this thread over there?

Well, I suppose you could but the thread isn't really about ladies' wear but the ladies opinion on men's dress. Always the contrarian !

I fail to see why this would be moved over to the ladies wear forum. Is this not a thread simply asking the ladies what our views are on men's kilt wearing? I say keep it where it is so you fine gents know what we think of your fashion sense (Ummmm... especially since we ladies generally make it quite clear what we think about your other sensibilities.)

    Sup guys

At first I was embarrassed of my dad when he wore his kilt, but after 11 years I realized I had to get used to it because he wasn't going to change after my rude insults. My friends dads don't wear them, but he's just different. My friends and I joke around a lot about it, but he knows we're kidding by saying "hey bag piper". Some people glare and stare when we go to places and it used to bother me, but now I don't really care so I just ignore it. I would rather see him wear the plaid kilts though because then people would know its a kilt and not a skirt. I wish he would wear shorts, but he's not comfortable in them so I know that's not going to happen, but that's okay. He's still a good person even though he's not exactly the "norm." I kinda wish more people would wear kilts so people wouldn't stare at my dad like he's a weirdo. So long bag pipers!

    Good on you Katelyn.

As for myself.... A man in a Kilt is HOT!
It's just a look I like, some women love men in suits, some women love men in cowboy attire, some women love men in Jeans, some women love men in uniform, some women love beards, some women love tall men, some women love muscled men..... I like Kilts on a man. (And women)
    It just is.
I will say that it's a bit like a little black dress, if cut well, made well and worn well with confidence it looks fantastic no matter a mans shape, size, weight, etc, etc. (yes even chicken legs look good in a kilt as opposed to shorts)
My personal preference is for casual, contemporary, Cargo Kilts in solid colours with chunky boots & socks on a man.
However since joining the forum and learning so much from all the wonderful people here, I am coming to appreciate traditional kilt wear more & more. Who knows one day I may become a Kilt Kop and be affronted by the casual style I love so much at the moment.
Keep up the good work Gentleman!
    LG
