Thank You! Could not have said it better!
Since I got my first kilt a few weeks back, it has been in ALMOST constant use...the only times I have not worn it were for a few days while it was at the cleaners, and again recently as it has been raining pretty heavily, and I do not want to have repress the pleats due to them getting distorted in the extreme humidity (as well as the weight of my backside not helping if I were to not think and sit in it while wet).
It has also been my experience to just get it done with and wear the thing. Over here in Montreal, I have gotten MOSTLY positive reactions...the only ones who seemed to take my wearing a kilt as a personal affront to themselves are certain ethnic minorities that shall remain unnamed, but that, funny enough, wear their own outlandish cultural garments.
So yes, I echo your words: If you want to be kilted full-time, just DO IT already!
