I'm ahead of you there, here's my kilt in its roll (along with my shorts clad hairy knees) all packed and ready to go. Just sitting now in Starbucks before getting the train (and making use of the free wi-fi)
Hope that the new kilt has arrived safely and look forward to seeing the pics

As long as your kilt (and accessories) aren't too heavy, you won't be stung by EasyJet for exceeding their weight limits for luggage as was I  €65 poorer, I got my kilt (cheap PV, sporran & strap, socks) out of the UK, but had to leave the kilt in Faro, Portugal on my return (too much shopping and gifts  ), but treated myself to a new kilt online which I collect from the post office today
I just substituted the kilt for shorts and kept it very casual (even forgoing kilt hose and wearing just sandals) as it is very hot out there
Keep us updated with your travels and post a pic or two
