I Have no information other than what is on the ebay listing. It seems like this is an ideal choice for my size (and surname), but I don't suspect it will stay in my budget for long...

Not sure your budget, but MOD kilts can often be had at prices lower than the equivalent kilt in a custom order. There is a reason that my first kilt was an old surplus Cameron Highlanders kilt.

Good to know, thank you!

May be a silly question, that has been answered, but, without belt loops would one utilize sporran hangers from the belt in the back....for the sporran belt? I assumed the sporran belt uses the loops in back, but without loops, would it just rely on the bulk of the posterior to remain in place ?

There are more than a few gents, especially in the Highlands, I`m told, who prefer their kilts with no belt loops at all. As far as I know, they wear their sporrans with straps in the normal way. Same with MOD kilts.

Yes. Even when I have had "belt" loops, I do not use them.

Happen to have this image handy showing it. This is a simple sporran belt and an MOD kilt. This was before I shortened it to a more normal height

Belt loops
I have started taking the belt loops off my kilts. I never use them.
