Good stuff, Nathan. Could you perhaps describe how the rest of the attendees were dressed (ladies and gents)? Any trends, patterns, or tendencies?

You and your father look wonderful, Nathan. I would expect nothing less. Very well put together and looks to have been an enjoyable evening.

    Very nice!

Great to see some tartan hose being worn.

And boy do I love MacDonald in Weathered Colours! House Of Edgar's Muted MacDonald is a lovely tartan too- I got married in it. (I used to be a card-carrying member of Clan Donald USA, and my first real tartan kilt was MacDonald Of The Isles Hunting, so it's wonderful to see a roomful of MacDonald kilts!)

I couldn't help but notice that the piper is showing no knee...

There was the usual collection of white hose, ghillie brogues and wing collared shirts. Most people were in Charlies and black tie although some were in Argylls with a long tie. Of course, I was in a black Argyll with black tie as was my colleague Jim and at least one man wore a long tartan tie with his prince charlie.

Seal skin sporrans were by far the most common.
