Very sad indeed. It looks like he was very well honored. Sadly, in this country, officers being killed in the line of duty is not that uncommon. I can think of at least half a dozen here in Washington state in as many years. I can recall watching the funeral of a Washington State Patrol trooper on television a few years ago. One of the most moving events I have ever seen. God bless all who serve.
