    Kilts were the best thing to happen for my weight management. If I gain a pound, I panic. LOL

    Well done!

    Yes a 16oz 8-yard kilt feels heavy when you hold it in the hands, but is very comfortable when worn on your person. I suppose it's how the weight is distributed and how it fits just right.

    Oh, the waiting! As of today, I make it 52 days to go!

    As has been noted, an 8 yard kilt can be a tad heavy - my 22 ounce Mackenzie Seaforth might be an extreme example. But providing it fits well, you'll get used to the weight after a few wearings. Perhaps best not to wear it from arising to retiring the first time, however great the temptation!
