Discovering Tam Lin
I heard on Highlander Radio the ballad of Tam Lin, it got my attention because of the beautiful scottish accent of the lad telling the story throughout the track, and also that it was performed by the Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club (I know some of the members).
Well, what an interesting story and what a wonderful rendition, has anyone else heard this?

In the Forum's Celtic Music section, there's a thread the MDR put up about "Songs/Groups that you're sick of" or something to that extent.
If I recall properly, this song came-up!

You're correct, it was Mike, well we all have different tastes.
In this version it's the background fiddles that make the tune so good. These includes Chris Duncan, whom I've met a few times, he was tutoring at a celtic music summer school I attended.

You're not kidding buddy! I requested it (much to the dismay of 24/7 listeners) and REALLY enjoyed the version.
I guess I'm just one of those Celtic Music junkies that cant' get enough!
If you ever go to those Pipe and Drum competitions and hear "Scotland the Brave" 1000 time, and DON'T get tired of it... you too might be a Celtic Music Junky!

Me too, I'm a Celtic music junkie too. I have three different versons of Scotland The Brave in my CD collection, including one by Seven Nations.
