David Feherty, retired Irish golfer and now golf commentator donned the kilt for the Saturday and Sunday rounds of the British Open this weekend, at none other than Royal Troon golf course (I am not going to take THIS story there however). Not sure what tartans he wore but he rented out at MacGregor MacDuff (in nearby Prestwick I believe) who adverts here just above my lead post as one of the partners. Seems David bet one of the officials on the course that two particular golfers would not make the cut, and both did so David lost and his payment was to wear the kilt on Saturday. Then he liked it so much he donned it again, in a different tartan, on Sunday.
