Invercauld also enjoys tartan ties more than most.
Personal flair and all that, eh?

I'm used to seeing him with the belt over the waistcoat, with dirk, and I enjoy that he still carries a dirk. Just wasn't seeing one in this photo, thereby the comment. As noted, personal flair. Also always enjoy her tartan suit.

The Duke of Argyll was, of course, at the Games in his castle grounds, suitably dressed for the weather. Here with the Duchess and German visitors:

Although there are often pics of me in my tweed, I usually remove it after the parade of clans at the opening ceremony which occurs at noon. The mornings are typically cool enough that I am glad to have the tweed but by noon and mid afternoon, the heat of the sun is out in full and shirt sleeves are more than adequate. Do they even have such a parade at most Highland Games in the Highlands? I see clan parades at Clan gatherings but that's a somewhat different affair.

There is often a parade leading up to the games with a band or bands leading the chief of the games, officials, judges, stewards and some of the competitors and miscellaneous hangers on. The chief and officials are often a bit more dressed up with jackets and bunnets and a few crummocks.

Any photos of your friends?
We've seen some great pics, many of members of the forum. how about pics of the non members. People who might not think about their kilt attire as often as we do. Again, I'm looking for pics of Highlanders in the Highlands if possible. All levels of formality are welcome!

I have a dumb question... What exactly do the letters THCD stand for? I understand what you are looking for (I think), but what are those letters for?
Regards,
Tom
