Rocky would best answer this, but I'll say that I have all three styles of his kilts (actually he now has four) with two of the PV 8 yarders.

Poly vis is a lighter material but very comfy to wear. The pleat hang and swing nicely and I've had no trouble in wind.

Casual and philabeg are nice, but the 8 yard traditional is best.
PV is not itchy as wool can be for some and the colours of the tartan are really nice.

I don't believe you'll be dissappointed.
