Be it as it may, it is still a personal choice on what to wear. Some pick the hose or flashes that will bring out a distinctive line in the tartan. No matter what color it is, white, black, blue, green or even yellow. Yes rental companies tend to use white hose for the fact that they are deemed a one time use item and to most white goes with everything. Making it cheaper to keep them on hand, but why demonize a color of hose. That is almost like saying why wear a clan badge if you are wearing the tartan.

It comes down to personal preference, Now I am not one large amounts of clan items on an outfit or having the same deign all over. But it is you choice no matter what one says. Not everyone can afford a 16oz 8yd wool kilt, some can only afford a PV kilt that may or may not be 8yd. Some prefer to rent since they only wear it once every few years. Lets try to keep in mind not to give the perception of "rules that must be followed" when most is an expression of yourself and your heritage. No matter what you wear do so with honor and pride, show respect to the national dress and be yourself.
