I think what Steve meant to say is "B.D. can't spell." I'm building a BarNdominum. A barn with an apartment in it. Less room for kilts and kids but, more room for other hobbies.
Cute response though Steve.

[QUOTE=bdkilted;1337873] "B.D. can't spell." [QUOTE]
To be more precise, B.D.'s auto correct can't spell (or know Bridget Bardot or know the best way to escape kids).

One of your hobbies could be to build a chifferobe for your kilts. I don't think Brigette Bardot will help.

We contemplated attending but it will likely rain sat and sun.

Admittedly, I'm having second thoughts. Why attend, get wet, and not have any visitors because it's pouring? I'm watching the weather forecast, but 80% chance for both days is not promising.

I'm still planning to go... There's supposed to be an afternoon thunderstorm on Saturday, but otherwise alternating clouds and sun. Sunday is a different story. I'm thinking I may get up early on Sunday morning and go pack up and head home.
Of course with weather in Texas, you never can tell...

From what I'm seeing, there's going to be about 40% chance of storms Saturday morning and early afternoon. It will probably be hit and miss on that. But Saturday night, there's definitely going to be thunderstorms. If you do come, you'll want to "batten the hatches" on your tents and secure everything, or just pack it back into your vehicle for the overnight. We've been having violent weather here recently (e.g. the tornadoes in San Antonio last month, record hail last year).
Sunday sounds like it's going to be pretty lousy, so I dunno.

Weather wasn't as bad as predicted...
Fortunately, the weatherman was wrong about Saturday.
It was cloudy and threatening in the morning, but the rain missed the event site entirely. By the afternoon, it was sunny and warm, but with a breeze.
Given the forecast for Saturday night and Sunday morning, I opted to tear down Saturday evening around 8 p.m. It stormed late Saturday night and even hailed a bit, but it was all over and sunny by the time the games opened at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
We had a late breakfast and attended the event as "spectators" on Sunday, departing around 3 p.m. I wore my Wellies in anticipation of very muddy conditions, but they turned out to be unnecessary, as the muddiest areas had been covered over with straw and gravel.
Several clans did not appear, likely owing to the weather forecast, but I was pleasantly surprised at the strong public turnout both days for the event. It seemed well organized, especially given the weather challenges, with more clans and vendors than in previous years. Way to go, SAHGA!
I missed seeing the usual cast of XMarkers, but hope to see you all again at another event soon!
