    I purchased the Rampant Lion from your review and used it for the first time today.

    The locking pin clasps are great!
    The kilt pin size is 2 by 2.9 inches or 30 by 73mm and weighs 1.23 ounces or 34.8 gm.
    This is by far the heaviest kilt pin I own. Should be good for about 60 MPH winds a real boat anchor.
    Most of my kilt pins weight 20 to 25 gms.

    Great addition to the collection and handy for the dog walks on windy days. They almost always involve a good wind from my right side at some point , where the outer apron seriously wants to wrap around my sporran.
