Hodden Grey Kilt fabric

Darn it! I was out of the country and missed this post. I would have killed for a bit of yardage!!!!!

It did go very quickly once word got out. It was bound to happen with something so rare at such a cheap price.

Is Hodden Grey actually grey or brown? Photos play tricks with colours sometimes.

I have only seen it in the wild once and it's brown.

The colour has changed over the past 50 or so years, it is now more purple than it used to be. My c1940-45 London Scottish kilt is a greyer shade.

The fabric I received did indeed have a bit of a purple cast to it.

As I have a kilt in this I passed despite the excellent price. Passed the info on to a friend, not o member here, who bought some.
