    It did go very quickly once word got out. It was bound to happen with something so rare at such a cheap price.

    The colour has changed over the past 50 or so years, it is now more purple than it used to be. My c1940-45 London Scottish kilt is a greyer shade.

    The fabric I received did indeed have a bit of a purple cast to it.

    As I have a kilt in this I passed despite the excellent price. Passed the info on to a friend, not o member here, who bought some.
