Although I am writing this a couple of weeks late, (had to travel and just returned), I wanted to more or less answer my own question. The Richmond Games was a great event, and my wife and I had so much fun. LOVED the Irish Coffee stand they had set up, and visited it twice. The hatchet throwing range was great, never threw an axe in my life, but managed 9 out of 10 on the target. Piping bands were very good, and so much activity all around. Vendors were good, would have liked to see more variety of Scottish accessories and clothing, only a couple of good Scottish Shops, but the jewelry was very good, some nice crafts people there. Wife purchase sever jewelry items, and she never does. Normally I just attend the games at the Plains in Northern Virginia, but this one had much more to see. I wish they had Living History, that was not there. So overall, this event was much more active, and nicer then I anticipated and it was a very pleasant surprise. We will go again next year.
I only wish more of the Donald Clan showed up, we had a very poor showing for such a large clan. I have noticed more and more the Clans are all rather lean with members, what is going on? I wish more clan members would participate in the parade of the clans....only part I was disappointed with.
