    I have two sporrrans

I have two sporran's A black one and a brown one. The black one was my first sporran and was discounted because the centre tassel was missing........ I filled the space with an antique grouse foot broach I found in an antique shop while away to Cornwall on holidays.

The second sporran, the brown hunter sporran is Canadian made by L&M in Nova Scotia and I got from North of Hadrians celtic clothing shop in Victoria BC , again at a discounted price because I had just had them build me my 8+ yard 16oz wool Canadian Maple leaf tartan kilt.

I wear the brown one more often because I like the style but I also really like the looks and feel of the black one.........both are of very good quality in my opinion, and if you don't mind a bit of advice..... save your pennies and get a sporran of good Quality you will never regret buying quality over expense ...........Others may not know the difference but you will and you will always regret poor quality

I plan on purchasing a quality sporran. I just need a place for wallet and keys while I shop for one.

Personally I prefer traditional sporran styles over the ones shown in the OP.

What do I mean by "traditional sporran styles"? This thread will make most of it clear

Best of all I love finding lovely vintage Scottish or North American made sporrans for little money, the subject of this thread

I wear a modified version of the one on the left almost daily and have been doing so for 4 years now, it is quite light but roomy and shows no signs of falling apart anytime soon.
I altered the closure mechanism to make it more convenient and added a leather divider inside to hold my phone in place so it doesn't rattle around.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
