I think the point of this thread was great: to discuss things that were considered faux pas, in other words, things that go against what is customary or traditional.
It also seems as if some members are looking to be a bit contrary and to make up exceptions. Sure, you can wear your kilt and accessories any what you want, and there may be practical reasons, but I don't see the need to challenge the good information here that is base on long-standing tradition.
