I got a nice tweed 5 yard kilt from Scotweb for about £160. A bit green but that only motivates me to get brown and grey ones later. They do 5 and 8 yard kilts and have a good selection of tweeds.
I have one of their Isle of Skye 8 yard Balmoral kilts that is quite nicely made.
