St. Andrew's Day has been a total non-event down here in the south of England. I've heard no mention of it on either national radio or national TV (both cover the entire British Isles). As a result of extreme leaf-clearing activities and domestic chores, I have not left my 'estate' today, nor have I spoken with anyone.
I could have eaten Haggis - but forgot to take it out of the freezer yesterday! Now it's almost bedtime and not a sip of alcohol has passed my lips.
But are we downhearted? No. I think I'll make another cup of coffee and finish up here.
(All together now: "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!")
