    Well, no, not quite 'vied for'. Different takes on history, perhaps, but those issues were long ago resolved by Lord Lyon into the future. That is done now. The Macphersons are recognised as a formative and essential part of Clanchattan, and that Macgillichattan Mor, Mackintosh of Torcastle, is the Clanchattan Chief. The Clanchattan confederation of clans is unique and is recognised as such into the 21C.
