You have to hand it to Megan Haas though. She is one marketing genius. UK prides itself on never having had to pay for advertising. Megan and Steve don't need to. She goes out and gets them on another talk show or in front of another media event.
Yes, they go to every pride festival they can. Guys there buy their product. That's marketing, not statement. Who can argue with 24 seamstresses working 40/week and 700 kilts out the door a month.
My only worry is the question "Are UK's really kilts, or are they simply a marketing ploy that found a hungry customer base?"
I'll stay where I am for now. A small company trying to produce a quality product as a fair price. Eveytime someone tells me that I could cut my costs by farming the work out or going overseas, or they tell me to go get a big department store contract I politly say "No Thanks."
Ron, come on back to Canada, I'll put you and Zeytoun to work and together we'll make the best darn contemporary kilts the word has ever seen.
