Quick Pic from 2019 Burns Supper at Lake Lodge #189 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
More photos are coming as they're being uploaded but I wanted to put up a pic of me doing the kilted thing.
Forgive the day-glo colors on my Pakistani kilt. I promise I'm ordering a real kilt ASAP. XD I went with off-white hose because they were the warmest I had and it was -1°F (-18°C) outside. Normally, I'd wear anything BUT off-white. :P

At this point, your words are trivial. You went, you stayed, you played along. Good showing and the future will hold better things, now that you have dipped a toe into the pond. Thanks for sharing with us.

Your kilt looks much more subdued that I imagined it would; yes the purple is vivid but the stripes are narrow and the overall effect isn't too bright.
You look great, and the most important thing (as was said above) is to show up and have a good time!

The problem is that the "purple" is supposed to be red. :P And yeah, it shows up purple or pink depending on lighting.

I didn't zoom in the first time I looked at the photo. I see the color difference when the image is larger. The kilt looks new instead of day-glow to me.
I wonder how fast those colors will fade after extended wear in sunlight? Fading may create the perfect tone and shade of the wider stripes to enhance the smaller red stripes.
