From what I could see of the blade, it appears that the Macgregor chief used an old blade from the 17th or 18th century for his sword. Perhaps an Xmarker with more expertise and who attends the exhibit could provide information on that.
Gerry, that's my understanding of the construction. I'll see what information there is at the event.
