That’s really interesting as the maker Wm Christie of Sydney went out of business in the 1980’s.
From my research he was around from at least the 1950’s until the ‘80s
So someone was weaving the Lenny sett 50-70yrs ago - I wonder who wore it? When? And Why?
I assume the fabric was imported and the kilt constructed in Australia... the plot thickens!
I found a delightful article in the newspaper archives that quotes him in c1957.
I’ll try and link it in the Kilts in the media thread it’s a hoot!
