Scotlandshop.com Question (Or Advice)
All,
I was looking at a pair of knickerbockers in the NYC Tartan, and came across this listing on the Scotlandshop: https://www.scotlandshop.com/us/clot...%20York%20City
I have searched through older postings with limited success, trying to find out any feedback on this site, their poly-viscose (which this is), and their wool kilts, as I have come across some other items on the site that I am interested in.
They appear on a list someone was putting together of Gold Brothers owned stores, but otherwise, I am not finding anything about them on here. Any advice, or experiences anyone could share would be fantastic. I would also be interested to know if anyone has any suggestions on alternate locations (particularly our sponsors) that would have this item and/or tartan.
Thank you!
Rob

They probably have the New York Tartan because they set up a pop up store every year at the New York City Tartan Week event. They have been there regularly for several years and I've never heard a complaint.
We have purchased several items from them in the Old Buchanan Set (sometimes called Ancient Buchanan, but not to be confused with the Buchanan Tartan in Ancient Colors) and other Buchanan tartans.
When our Chief visited the USA in 2019, The Lady Buchanan and Miss Buchanan both had several outfits made for them by Scotland Shop. Good enough for them, good enough for me.
Regards
CTB

Thank you CTB - personal experience was exactly what I was looking for.
Funny enough, I was supposed to go see them at this year's NYC Tartan Day Parade; I have stopped by their pop-up in the past, but since I am usually piping in the parade, marching with my curling club, and getting tabbed by friends/family to re-march with them, I haven't been able to meet with them in the past, so this year I set an appointment.
I am definitely still looking to hear more feedback, both positive and negative, so if anyone is reading this and has any, keep it coming!

I have ordered some accessories from Scotlandshop in the past (most recently in January and November last year) - was wool not PV though.
Happy with both the quality and service.
I am not sure if Scotlandshop are part of the Gold Brothers empire - but not everything Gold Brothers do is tat anyway, sure lots of mass market stuff and Heritage of Scotland is very much a mixed bag - but Gold Brothers also own John Morrison Kiltmakers, which does pretty decent gear (spotted a very nice custom weave in my Tartan on my last visit - but not sure I need another kilt, just yet)...
