Hamish, sorry you were short of friends on the new Year, I find that hard to believe. Maybe next year I'll come over and help you with that single malt you are struggling to empty

Och well, I'm getting used to it Graham. Most of my neighbours are, like me, retired and go off to their families for the festivities. My friends, on the other hand, if not similarly occupied with their families, live considerable distances away. It is often said that Widows find themselves ignored by former friends who still have their partners - it's the same for us 'widowers'!
If that is a threat, or even a promise, Graham you'd be more than welcome
Whilst I have several whiskies in the house (Glenmorangie 10 years old, Glenmorangie Port Wood Finish and Glenfarclas 10 years old) I really don't touch them - except for medicinal purposes! More of a G&T man myself, or a fine Cognac perhaps!
You'd be welcome to the malts ............ a dram at a time, of course!
