					Getting back to the meat of this thread:
 
 
	I am not sure why you deem it "too dangerous."  I am guessing it is concern about the kilt blowing up and revealing your underwear.   If that is what it is, you can wear shorts underneath. Bike shorts work well for this. If you are concerned about exposed legs, kilts provide more coverage than most pairs of shorts.  Running tights might work for you in either case.
