Travelling in a car or plane.

Anyone tried turning their kilt around, sitting on the aprons? Pleats stay in much better state, far less creased. Easy to turn my kilt around once getting out of my seat! Getting out of my car is obviously far less public! Even after 2 or 3 hours the aprons show hardly any signs of being sat on!!

Interesting - haven't thought about that.

While driving I am either in a utility kilt (denim or another heavy material) or a USA Kilts Casual (poly viscose?). They do not get nasty looking after sitting for a couple of hours.

If you are too busy to laugh, you are too busy.

I remember a discussion on this a few years back. Some folks use a towel or a belt to keep the pleats flat as they sit and turn in to the seat. (Wrap the towel/belt around your backside/thighs and then sit/turn.)

Personally, I just smooth the pleats under me as I sit, just as I would when sitting in a stationary chair/sofa, etc. So far, I haven't experienced much if any in the way of unsightly creases.
