Kilt restorer found

I had been searching for somewhere to have my kilt restored last time I was back home in Scotland recently - and finally found someone!

My kilt was made for me when I was 8 years old, when my family was emigrating from Edinburgh to the USA in 1960, and has been hanging in my closet all these years!

It dawned on me that I should get it restored so I can pass it down to my granddaughter - and happy to say my 65 year-old kilt is now ready for her to wear!

That's really cool!

Who knows how many generations will cherish that kilt.

I've known a couple kiltmakers and they both said they'd rather made a kilt from scratch than work on an existing kilt. Finding somebody who actually specialises in that is super.
