I'm in the same boat with Black Stewart Hebridean. It looks nicer that Black Stewart usually does somehow. I need to see the swatch again!
That was my first introduction to the Hebridean Range of tartans, seeing a swatch-book at a local Highland Games several years ago. I was struck by the beauty of them. As usual with tartans photos don't do them justice.
In a similar way Marton Mills does beautiful twists on several traditional tartans. Especially nice are the ones they do in tweed.
