    I chatted with the seller and as it happens they did think the sporran was Edwardian (perhaps not knowing what "Edwardian" means) and they've changed their listing.

    Most people who see that Patent stamp don't know what it's about or when it was used.

    Yes it's a nice example of WE Scott's older, superior work.

    And recently there was an older EW2 on Ebay with the older-style cantle with backplate. I really like those cantles!
