Thanks everyone. I would like to make some more so that I can practice making straight seams, and the cuts at the ends (where the triangle is) is a real bugger to get even. I was thinking the other day that it would be nice to have some type of die that I could just punch with a hammer, and in on nice cut, both sides would be sliced easily and evenly. Yeah, maybe someday. Since I don't have my kilt yet, I think I'm going to wait until I do have it in order to see what other colors compliment the Gunn Tartan (I'm still open to suggestions).
Hamish...I like your point about the stretching elastic, but I'm wondering if they still might be ok, since the seam will hopefully prevent the elastic from stretching. I guess time will tell on that one. I will probably make another pair the way you suggested, just to see how they turn out.
Thanks again everyone.
