Eventhough I MUCH prefer to look and feel of a more authentic kilt, the UtiliKilt is very comfortable. The thinner apron only comes into play, like Andrew said, when you're doing a load of walking or dancing. If you're just wearing it for everyday, normal human stuff... you'll love it. My advise on UtiliKilts is simple: IF you get the heavier material, DO NOT sit on anything hard. The sewn-down pleats will cut into your backside like a Ginsu.
Arise. Kill. Eat.
