I don't think Xmarks would cease to exist. It's here, I feel, more for the love of the kilt, than for any perceived controversial nature of kilt wearing. Take a look at all of the different forums on the web and you'll see what I mean. There are nascar forums, woodworking forums, cooking forums and too many more to mention. These are all forums that exist simply because people find a common bond in the joy they share within the subject matter of the forum. As long as there are kilts, there will be kilt forums.
