I guess I'm the perfect person to answer this question, since I actually have a Maple Leaf tartan hand-sewn traditional kilt from Burnetts and Struth. It's one of the best looking kilt's I've ever seen, and I'm not just saying that because it's mine. The quality is top notch, and they were great to work with. I'd suggest calling them, rather than email though. They tended to only address the first part of emails, rather than the full email.
I've got pictures of it in my gallery (not the greatest...but they'll do), if you want to check the kilt out.
