Believe it or not, I didn't realize that a Valkyrie was a maiden who served Odin as choosers of slain warriors,
who were taken to reside in Valhalla, according to Norse mythology until I read your post and decided to do a google search for the word. When I thought of valkyrie, I thought of the 6 cylinder Honda motorcycle, never giving thought to the origins of the name. Even after reading your post the only other thing I could come up with before my search was the recollection of something I read as a youngster called the flight of the Valkyrie, which was about an airplane. I was never really into mythology even in school.
Oh well,live and learn.
